The ACPH 2019 conference theme – “Activating health system change to promote physician well-being” focused on how to structure organizations (i.e., hospitals, health systems, practices, clinics) to contribute to, rather than detract from, physician well-being. The conference showcased research and initiatives on the infrastructure of health care systems and what organizations can do to help combat burnout and promote well-being. It provided a forum for practitioners and researchers to present recent findings, innovative methods and support systems, as well as educational programs in the following areas of physician health: consequence, driver, innovation/initiative, next generation and women in medicine.
